How to Program My V8 Powerplay Steering Wheel for PS2

Playing racing games on your PS2 is fun with a standard controller, but the experience can be even more engaging with a gaming wheel. One such accessory is the Powerplay PS2 Play On V8 Plus Racing Wheel. It plugs directly into your PS2 console and allows you to control the driving action right from the wheel, rather than from a controller. You can set up the V8 steering wheel with your PS2 in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

  Plug the end of the racing wheel cable into one of the controller ports on the front of your PS2 console.

  Power on your PS2. Wait for the text box to appear on-screen, asking if you would like to configure the steering wheel with the PS2 system.

  Push the "Action" button on the side of the steering wheel, to confirm you want to begin the configuration. The system will take a few seconds to configure the steering wheel.

  Insert a racing game into your PS2 console, and use the "Action" button on the wheel to begin a new game. You can now use the steering wheel with the game.
