Instructions
Play through the game. Some hearts will be easy to find, while others will need to be carefully searched for. They can all be obtained quite simply, however, if you know where to look.
Go to "Mission 2." With Dante, play through the level until you see two goatlings at the end of the stage. Defeat them to obtain the "Aerial Heart," which allows you to fly. With Lucia, battle the goatlings at the beginning of the stage by hitting the first orb trigger you see. Defeat them to win the heart.
Begin "Mission 4" with Dante. Enter the observatory in the harbor area and defeat the enemies. In the room upstairs lies the "Quick Heart," which allows you to move more quickly. This same heart cannot be obtained until "Mission 8" with Lucia. She begins the stage by entering a room with three orbs. Break one, remembering how many hits it took to shatter. When it reappears, hit all three orbs one time less than the amount it takes to break them. Break all three in a row, engage "Devil Trigger" mode and quickly run through the opened passage to obtain the "Quick Heart."
Begin "Mission 3" with Lucia. Enter the same observatory in the harbor area that Dante entered in "Mission 4." The upstairs room contains the "Healing Heart." You must wait until "Mission 11" to get this heart for Dante. During the mission, he enters a room with three statues. Repeat the same process you used to get the "Quick Heart" with Lucia in "Mission 8," except faster. Thus, make sure the "Quick Heart" is equipped to the amulet before using "Devil Trigger."
Go to "Mission 5" with Dante. Return to the first infested tank you destroyed earlier in the stage. Jump over the burning wall and search the hidden area to find the "Offence Heart," which enhances your attack. This is found in "Mission 4" with Lucia. It is located on a pedestal in the tunnel immediately next to you when you start the level.
Continue to "Mission 5" with Lucia. You will automatically be forced to take the "Evil Heart" as you play through the mission. This heart slowly drains your life. At the end of the mission, Lucia trades it for the "Electro Heart," which adds the "lightning" element to your attacks. Dante begins the game with this heart.
Go to "Mission 7" with Dante and remain in "Mission 5" with Lucia. In the area where you must run all the way down a large, spiral staircase, stop at the center of the room at the bottom. Use the "Aerial Heart" to fly straight up until you see a platform with the "Flame Heart" on it. This heart allows you to use the "fire" element when in "Devil Trigger" mode.
Start "Mission 7" with Lucia. Swim up through the tunnel at the beginning of the stage and defeat the magical opponents to receive the "Aqua Heart," which is only available for Lucia and enhances her movement in water.
Go to "Mission 15" with Dante and "Mission 11" with Lucia. There is an eye in the center of the room in which you begin. Attack it to cause many enemies to be unleashed. Locate the rest of the eyes while you fight. One area is just a gray lump instead of an eye. Knock an enemy onto this lump to reveal the "Chrono Heart," which allows your "Devil Trigger" to manipulate time.
Begin "Mission 16" with Dante. Collect all four items called "sacreliges" and a new room will appear outside of the room with the Bloodgoats and Demonchoruses. Locate and enter the room. Approach the heart and defeat the four Abyss Goats that attack you. You will receive the "Frost Heart" after the battle. Lucia begins the game with this amulet piece.
