The Laser Microphone Does Not Work With Splinter Cell: Pandora

Unlike Sam Fisher's other gadgets, which you can use throughout "Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow," the laser microphone is a key item that you only need for a single mission. Although the laser microphone remains in your inventory and you can equip it and aim it at people, it won't do anything to help you unless you are completing the mission in which you must record Norman Soth's phone conversation.

Instructions

    • 1

Play through the game until you get to Mission 3, which takes place on the train from Paris to Nice. Play through this mission until you have located Norman Soth. Once you locate him in the dining car, your mission will change and you will be instructed to record the conversation with the laser mic.

    • 2

Enter the dining car and hide behind the bar. Don't wander too far into the car, or you may get caught. If you get caught, you will have to restart from the most recent checkpoint.

    • 3

Equip the laser mic and aim it at Soth. Press the action button to record the conversation. The action key varies from version to version. For example, press "A" for Xbox and GameCube, or "X" for PlayStation 2.
