How to Defeat Blight in Okami

Dash forward to traverse down the long tunnel ahead; before heading forward, you can change your equipment through the menu by pressing the "triangle" button. Jump down to a platform below and watch the scene. Dash away from Blight once the battle begins. Upon hearing Blight execute an attack, slow Blight's attack with "Veil of Mist," a brush technique that slows down time. Press the "square" button to reveal the brush screen and draw two parallel lines anywhere. Slip behind him to attack him using your preferred weapon: shield, rosary beads or sword.

Attack Blight after slowing down time to knock his sword to the ground. Run to his sword, using your weapon to attack it. Continue attacking the sword until it hovers back to Blight. Dash to either side again, avoiding Blight's quick attacks. Slow down time with Veil of Mist, targeting the blue sword among the bevy of swords flying toward you. Slash the sword by drawing a line over it after revealing the brush screen with the square button. Attack the blue sword once it becomes stuck in the ground.

Run to either side of Blight once more, slowing down time with Veil of Mist. Attack his back, repeating your attacks to the sword falling from his hand. Move away from Blight after he recovers from your attacks, decelerating the swords approaching you with Veil of Mist. Slash the blue sword before it returns to Blight and repeat your previous attacks until Blight falls.
