How to Break HP Limit in FFX

Although you can't break the 9,999 hit point limit in some titles in the "Final Fantasy" franchise, you can in "Final Fantasy X." The key to breaking this limit is the Wings to Discovery, an item that adds certain statistics to armor. Adding 30 Wings to Discovery to a character's armor activates the HP break statistic, allowing you to have up to 99,999 HP.

Things You'll Need

Any armor
Party with Rikku
Rikku's "Bribe" ability
38.4 million gil

Instructions

- 1
  Travel to Omega Ruins or enter Sin. Run around the area to enter a random battle.

  Select the "Flee" option in the battle menu if you are not fighting Great Marlboros. Run around again until you get into a battle with Great Marlboros. Once you get into a battle with them, do not flee or attack them.

  Select "Bribe" in Rikku's battle menu. When prompted, enter "1,280,000 gil" as the bribe price. The Marlboro will give the party eight Wings to Discovery before leaving.

  Repeat the bribe if there is another Great Marlboro in battle. If not, the battle will end. Run around again to enter another battle. Continue running around bribing Great Marlboros until you have 30 Wings to Discovery.

  Access the main Final Fantasy menu. Go to "Customize." Select any character's armor.

  Scroll down the menu until you find the 30 Wings to Discovery. Click the items in the menu to apply them to the specified character's armor.
