How to Get More Bounty Points in Need for Speed: Most Wanted for the PS2

In real life you can't run away from the cops without getting severe penalties, but in "Need for Speed: Most Wanted" for the PlayStation 2, that is exactly what you need to do to complete some missions. Bounty is an indication of how wanted you are by the police. As your bounty increases, the cops become increasingly difficult to avoid and you face additional obstacles such as police SUVs and spike strips to halt your attempts to evade.

Instructions

    • 1

Speed. Drive as fast as you can to evade the police without letting them corner you or cause you to crash into a building where they'll arrest you. Use your mini map in the corner of the screen to plot your route ahead of time. Avoid sharp corners, which slow you down.

    • 2

Search for roadblocks. Bounty builds when you cause damage to police cars and faster when you damage them. If you speed through a roadblock, you can demolish one or two cars in a quick run. Plow through the road block where two cars join and there is a small opening. It gives you enough space to get through without the police stopping you completely. You also get bounty for making it through the roadblock, regardless of the damage you inflict on the cars.

    • 3

Hit the bigger vehicles. You get more bounty for taking out an undercover cop or an SUV than you do for the cops that you face when your wanted level is at a 1. Always try to hit a cop car from the side, either at the front or back, enough to clip and spin it around, or straight on to push him into the wall or stop his pursuit of you.
