How to Beat the Bogshot Monster in Neopets: The Darkest Faerie

Quests that involve killing bosses in "Neopets: The Darkest Faerie" for the PlayStation 2 are capable of frustrating even the most patient players. In this single-player game, you get the chance to defeat the Hissi of Bogshot Swamp, which players often refer to as the Bogshot Monster or the Plague Serpent. Once you defeat the Hissi, you will be able to collect the last of the three Bogberries that you need to cure the villagers and finish the "Bogshot Swamp" quest.

Instructions

- 1
  Start a new game in "Neopets: The Darkest Faerie." Do every quest until you complete Act 1 and Act 2. In Act 3, complete the following quests: The Heroes Meet and Team Up, An Audience With King Hagan, Doing Research, Enter the Gelert Assassin and Bogshot Village.

  Go to the Apothecary in Bogshot Village. This building has a sign that displays a large cup. Speak to the man pacing inside the building. He will ask you to obtain three Bogberries to cure the entire village of a disease. Head outside and cross the bridge that leads to Bogshot Swamp. The other bridge leads to a dead-end.

  Travel through Bogshot Swamp and fight the Tentacles and Sludgies. Follow the path and pick up the two Bogberries on the floor along the way. Jump into the water and navigate your way towards the light. Save your game with the Save Point. Cross the pieces of wood to find the Bogshot Monster.

  Change into Tor and leap onto one of the stone platforms. Wait for the Bogshot Monster to appear and face it. Wait for the Bogshot Monster to attempt to headbutt you. Once he starts to move towards you, raise your shield. The shield will stun the Hissi, causing it to fall to the floor.

  Stay on the platform and change to Roberta. Attack the Bogshot Monster with your magic spells. As you weaken the Hissi, it will destroy every stone platform except one. Wait for the Bogshot Monster to go in for a headbutt again. Stun the Hissi with the shield again, which will defeat it.
