How Do You Unlock Broly in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3?

The PlayStation Two game "DragonBall Z: Budokai 3" features a number of unlockable characters from the DragonBall Z universe. One of those characters is the legendary Super Saiyan "Broly." Broly is an exceptionally powerful character with a large health bar. When he transforms, he gains a sizable 20 percent boost to his health bar. His only real weakness is his slow attack speed. Unlocking Broly is simple, but requires playing through the game at least once as Goku.

Instructions

- 1
  Complete Goku's story in "Dragon Universe" mode once.

  Start Goku's story a second time in Dragon Universe mode and play through it until you reach the Buu saga. Play through the Buu saga until Buu absorbs Goku.

  Locate the "???" location on your map and land there. This initiates a conversation with Hercule.

  Return to the red dot marked on your map. Do not engage Buu. Instead, look around for a second location marked "???." You will find Tien there.

  Search for a second red dot on your map and go to it. There you will find Supreme Kai. He will tell you that he senses a power far greater than Buu's nearby.

  Go back to Buu and you will find Vegeta. Fuse with him and defeat Buu. You will be absorbed into Buu's body. Defeat him in this level as well until you and Vegeta are expelled from his body.
- 7
  Go to the red dot on your map after exiting Buu's body. Broly is located there. Defeat him and you will unlock him.
