How to Unlock San Fierro in GTA: San Andreas for the PS2

The missions in "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" take place on the three islands of San Andreas. When you first begin the game, your character must complete a list of missions on Los Santos island. To unlock the second island, San Fierro, you have to complete one mission in particular. If you attempt to access this island before completing this key mission, you will earn a six-star wanted level and find yourself under police pursuit.

Instructions

  Travel to Sweet's map marker to begin the final Los Santos mission, "The Green Sabre." Walk into the marker to launch the mission cut scene. Watch the cut scene, which shows Sweet giving orders to meet him at the Mulholland Intersection.

  Answer your phone when the cut scene ends. Cesar asks you to meet him in Verdant Bluffs. Follow the marker on your map to Cesar's location and walk into the marker to begin the second part of the mission. You will learn that Sweet is in danger and you must rush to Mulholland Intersection before Sweet dies. Watch the life bar on your screen to keep track of Sweet's condition.

  Walk towards the red arrow when you arrive at Mulholland Intersection to trigger the next cut scene. Once the cut scene ends, you must kill several rounds of opposing gang members. Once you kill each gang member, you will trigger another cut scene.

  Watch the final cut scene, where you learn about your next set of missions. The main character, CJ, must flee Los Santos for a safer location. You can now access the island of San Fierro and complete missions for your new boss, Pulaski.
