How to Find Lucid Shards in Kingdom Hearts 2

In "Kingdom Hearts II," some of the game's best items are synthesized using components that you find after defeating an enemy. Each kind of enemy drops one or two types of a component, such as Lucid Shards. When you have collected enough Lucid Shards, you can take them to Traverse Town's item workshop. There, a blacksmith will use them to craft you one of several rare items, such as a Midnight or Chaos Anklet.

  Open the World Map. Select Halloween Town, Olympus Coliseum or Port Royal as your destination.

  Run around the area you selected until some enemies appear. Look for either a Trick Ghost or a Rabid Dog. Trick Ghosts are white or green and float after you as they attack. Rabid Dogs resemble large dogs with a spiked collar and purple or pink body.

  Attack the enemy with your Keyblade or magic until it is defeated. Both of these enemies are fairly weak and will die in about five hits depending on your level.

  Collect the items the enemies drop when they are defeated. There is an 8 percent chance that the Rabid Dog will drop a Lucid Shard, and a 10 percent chance that the Trick Ghost will drop one. Continue defeating enemies until you collect all of the Lucid Shards you need.
