Proud Mode
Begin a game in Proud mode.
Play through the main storyline for each game level. As Proud mode is the most challenging mode, you are only required to complete the main storyline of the game and defeat the final boss to earn the secret ending.
Watch the normal ending and the game credits, and then wait for the secret ending, which will automatically play afterward.
Normal Mode
Start a new game on Normal difficulty.
Play through the main storyline of the game to complete most Jiminy's Journal entries. You must have a 100 percent completion in Jiminy's Journal to unlock the secret ending in Normal mode. Most categories of the journal such as Story, Characters, Heartless, Nobodies, Ansem Reports and Maps are completed naturally as you progress through the game's storyline.
Open every treasure chest in the game to complete the Treasure section of Jiminy's Journal. Check the treasure list in the Jiminy's Journal menu to see which treasure chests you have opened in each world and which worlds contain chests you have not opened.
Complete every mission in the game to complete the Missions section of Jiminy's Journals. Many missions are side missions that do not affect the plot, such as fighting the optional boss Sephiroth. Check the Journal screen to find out which missions you still need to complete.
Synthesize one of every item in the game at the Moogle Shop. Visit a Moogle Shop in the game for a complete list of items to synthesize.
Participate in every mini-game to complete the Mini-Games section of Jiminy's Journal. You do not have to win every mini-game, just play a complete game of each one. You'll find a complete list of mini-games in Jiminy's Journal.
Perform every combo attack in the game once to complete the Combo Attacks portion of the journal. Combo attacks are team-up attacks that Sora performs with his other party members.
Complete the game as you would normally once you've finished these tasks to unlock the secret ending.
