How to Upscale a Receiver on PS2

The Sony PlayStation 2 is a sixth-generation home gaming console that generally connects to televisions through the use of RCA cables. If you have a high-definition (HD) television that receives your PS2's visual and audio signals, you can upscale the PS2 signal into an HD signal through the use of a special converter cable.

      Connect the PS2 end of your PS2 component cable to the data port on the back of your PS2 console.

      Connect the component ends of your PS2 component cable to the component port on the back of your HD television.

      Turn your HD television and PS2 on. Change the television to its component input channel. You will see the upscaled visual signal from the PS2 on your television screen.
