How Do I Get to the Lioumere in Final Fantasy XI?

Finding and killing a Lioumere is a major part of the Road Forks quest in "Final Fantasy XI" for the PlayStation 2, PC and Xbox 360. You must kill the Lioumere to get a Mimeo Egg so that you can repair the Mimeo Mirror. Lioumere are related to the giant Antlions that roam around in the arid deserts of the Attohwa Chasm. Although Lioumere are often seen wandering this area, the one you need to find has burrowed beneath some loose sand.

Instructions

  Travel to the Attohwa Chasm. This is the mountainous desert area in the Aragoneu region. Attohwa Chasm is also where the "One Good Deed?" and "Tea with Tonberry" quests take place.

  Go to the northeast region of the Attohwa Chasm to find a point called Loose Sand. It is near the center of the square marked K-8 on the Attohwa Chasm map. Use this coordinate as a point of reference and walk through the area to get there.

  Walk around near the Loose Sand and explore the area around it to make the Lioumere burst from the ground.
