How to Unlock the Chicago Typewriter

Resident Evil 4 is a multi-platform, third-person zombie shooter video game. The highly rated game features a number of weapons to use against enemies. Weapons are found, purchased or unlocked through gameplay. The Chicago Typewriter is a .45 caliber submachine gun with infinite ammunition. Based on the real-life Thompson M1A1, the Chicago Typewriter is one of the most powerful and effective weapons in the game. It is also one of the bulkiest weapons, taking up 21 inventory spaces. You unlock the Chicago Typewriter by completing one of the game's extra segments.

  Select "Extras" from the main menu screen.

  Select "Separate Ways." Separate Ways is a mini-game starring Ada Wong instead of Leon. There are five chapters in Separate Ways.

  Successfully complete "Separate Ways." The mini-game is moderately difficult, so it may require several attempts. Ada is faster than Leon, but she takes more damage when hit. The objectives in each chapter are relatively linear and self-explanatory.

  Load your main game after you complete Separate Ways.

  Go to the nearest Merchant, or Stranger, location and speak to him.

  Purchase the Chicago Typewriter for 1 million pesetas.
