How to Kill the Sand Serpent in Shadow of the Colossus

"Shadow of the Colossus" is a classic, action adventure game for the PlayStation 2 from the makers of Ico. Released in 2005, the player-character is a knight who must destroy 16 creatures known as the Colossi. The tenth Colossus the player is to fight is a huge sand serpent. The serpent must be tricked into revealing its weak spots, which can then be stabbed, allowing the player to defeat the monstrous snake.

Instructions

  Enter the vast underground chamber with a sandy floor. It can be accessed from the cave.

  Stay on your horse, Agro, and race around the chamber until the sand serpent appears. Race away from the creature.

  Select your bow and turn to face the creature as it rushes toward you; its head rising out of the sand, revealing its two eyes.

  Fire an arrow into one of the eyes and step to one side as the creature accelerates toward you. Watch as the monster crashes into the wall, stunning itself.

  Ride beside the creature, which is now lying on its back. Select your sword and climb the creature's fur and locate the seal on its underbelly. Attack the seal until the seal is destroyed.

  Return to Argo and ride around the room until you can repeat Steps 2-4. Climb to the second seal located at the top of the creature's arched body and destroy the seal. The colossus is now defeated.
