Instructions
Turn off your PlayStation 2. Remove the wireless transmitter for the Predator S-Type wireless controller from the front of your console. Examine the inputs on the end of the transmitter and make sure no dust or dirt has collected inside. Dust and dirt can both prevent the transmitter from communicating with the console, which will render the controller unusable. If dust or dirt is present, use a rag to clean the transmitter.
Remove any memory cards that are connected to the front of your PlayStation 2. Certain PlayStation 2 accessories like wireless controllers are known to develop compatibility errors due to files contained on your memory card. Remove the memory card and attempt to use the controller again. If it works, your Pelican controller is having problems with one or more of the files on your memory card. Either format the memory card or use a different, empty one when you play games with your Predator.
Remove any cordless phones or other devices that operate on a 900 megahertz frequency from the same room as your PlayStation 2. The Predator's wireless transmitter operates on a 900 megahertz RF frequency. Other devices that use this same frequency, including cordless phones and walkie talkies, could potentially interfere with the transmission and cause the PlayStation 2 to be unable to communicate with the controller.
