Cheat for the Parachute for GTA San Andreas on the PS2

"Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" is one of the games in the "Grand Theft Auto" series for the PlayStation S2 and PC. The game contains many weapons and items that are used to complete a long series of missions within the storyline. There are multiple areas that can be unlocked, making newer items and missions available. One of these items, the parachute, is obtainable in the latter portion of the game, making it possible to survive long falls from buildings and aircraft. Though the parachute is not normally available until completing the "Learning to Fly" missions, it can be obtained through the use of cheat codes that were added by the developers.

Use of the Parachute
- The game's main character, CJ, is able to use the parachute to reduce or eliminate falling damage when jumping from planes and tall buildings. Once picked up, the parachute is found in CJ's inventory along with any weapons that have already been obtained. After jumping from a plane or tall building, the parachute is opened by pressing the fire button on the controller. After being deployed, the direction of descent can be controlled by moving the main joystick to the left or right. This will cause CJ to pull on one of the strings, shifting him over. Pushing forward on the control stick will increase the rate of descent, while pulling back on the control stick slows the rate. Pulling the stick back when landing will also cause CJ to land running on his feet instead of hitting the ground and stopping.
Obtaining the Parachute Without Cheat Codes
- The parachute is made available to CJ after completing the "Learning to Fly" mission series and obtaining his pilot's license. Any time he bails out of a plane that he pilots, he will automatically be equipped with the parachute, eliminating the need to search for it. There are also multiple spawn locations in the game, such as on the roof of the Emerald Isle Casino in Las Venturas and on the roof of the tallest building in Los Santos.
How to Enter Codes
- As with all games in the "Grand Theft Auto" series, there are many cheat codes made available to enhance gameplay. These codes can refill health, raise or eliminate a wanted level, and spawn items and vehicles. Entering these codes is rather simple once the button sequence is found. At any point during gameplay, simply enter the button combo without pausing. Entering the code correctly will trigger a notification, displaying a "Cheat Enabled" message on the screen.
Parachute Code
- The parachute code can be used at any point in the game, even if CJ has not earned his pilot's license. During game play, enter the following combination on your controller. "Left," "Right," "L1," "L2," "R1," "R2," "R2," "Up," "Down," "Right," "L1." Directions such as Left and Right are performed using the D-pad, not the joysticks. Enter the code in quick succession and the "Cheat Enabled" message will appear, with the parachute being immediately available in CJ's inventory.
