Tips for Shin Megami Tensei

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is a role-playing video game that was released in 2008 exclusively for PlayStation 2. It is the latest installment in a long line of Megami Tensei games that began in 1987 with Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei. There are many tips and hints available for Persona 4.
  1. Bonus Weapons

    • You can unlock a range of bonus weapons by returning to dungeons that you have already completed and fighting the boss waiting there. Beat the boss in Secret Lab to unlock Naoto's bonus weapon. Defeat the boss in Yukiko's Castle to unlock the secret weapon for Yukiko. For Kanji's secret weapon, beat the boss waiting in Steamy Bath House. Defeat the boss in Opera House to unlock the bonus weapon for Kuma.

    New Character

    • Complete the entire game and you will unlock "New Game+"; this option allows you to play through the game again but with added features. One of these features is a new Fusion mode. Use this new mode to unlock Izanagi-no-Okami, who is one of the best characters in Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.

    Unlock Skills

    • Wait until the Fusion Forecast is at Skill Change and then access Fusion mode to fuse a persona; this process unlocks two new skills. God's Judgment makes your attacks more powerful, taking an extra half a hit point from your enemies, but only if you fight through the day time. Hell's Judgment has the same effect as God's Judgment, except it works only at night.

    Ultimate Weapons

    • The only way to get your hands on the top weapons that Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 has to offer is to fight Death himself. The Grim Reaper can be fought at many points of the game, but only when playing "New Game+" mode. Treasure chests are a common hiding place for Death, so try to open them. If you're asked to Open or Ignore the chest, it means he's definitely inside. Beat him and he will drop one of the game's Ultimate Weapons. You can always find the Grim Reaper in a the treasure chest in Magatsu Inaba, when playing "New Game+."
