How to Use a Laptop Screen With a PS2

PlayStation 2 (PS2) is a video-game console developed by Sony and released in 2000. The console allows you to play a variety of games, listen to music and watch DVDs. You can also hook the console up to your laptop, allowing you to play the PS2 on your laptop screen. However, to do this you will need a few things.

  • TV tuner USB card
  • Composite VGA cable
  • VGA adapter
  • Audio Y adapter

Instructions

    • 1

      Plug the TV tuner USB card into an available USB slot on the side of your laptop. Press it firmly in place so that it is securely connected.

      Line up the yellow, red and white ends of the composite VGA cable to those found on the TV tuner card.

      Connect the other end of the composite cable into the SCART port on the rear of your PS2.

      Locate the VGA port on the side of your laptop. Connect the yellow plug on the composite cable to the VGA adapter.

      Connect the opposite end of the VGA adapter to the VGA slot on your laptop. Connect the other opposite ends of the earlier connected red and white cables to the two slots on the Y adapter. This enables PS2 audio on your laptop.

      Turn on your PlayStation 2. You will now see the console image on your laptop screen.
