Unlockable Content
To unlock every item, go to the Item Select screen and press the button combination Up, Square, Square, Left, Square, Square, Down, Square, Square, Right, Square, Square while holding down R1 and L1. Enter the cheat L1, R1, L2, R2, Right, Square, L3, R3 in the Mission Selection screen to unlock all of the game's missions. Use the cheat L1, Up, R1, Down, L2, Right, R2, Left to unlock the Rikimaru bonus level. Press Up, Down, Right, Left, X, X, X in the Start screen to unlock the level created for the game's demo. To unlock the Real Rikimaru, who is similar to Rikimaru but more powerful, enter the cheat Left, Left, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.
Ghost Trick
Play the Cemetery stage as Ayame or Rikimaru and allow your Life to decrease to 20 or below by letting enemies hit you. Go to the garden and stand next to the tree; some hands will reach through the ground to grab you. Use the Fake Death power so your Life slips to zero. Your character will escape from the clutches of the reaching hands, but the Life meter will remain at zero. If you try to walk up a hill, you will sometimes walk through it instead, and if you walk off a ledge you will float rather than fall. Use a healing item to change back to normal.
VS Mode Characters
Play through the first level of the game with Rikimaru or Ayame to unlock Taijima for VS mode. Complete the fifth level with Rikimaru or the sixth level with Ayame to unlock Onikage. For Tatsumaru, finish the tenth level with Rikimaru or Ayame. Complete all of the levels with either Rikimaru or Ayame to unlock Tesshu.
Other Cheats
Pause the game at any time during gameplay and press the button combination Up, down, Right, Left, Square, Square, Square to fill your Life meter. Pause and enter Square, Square, Square, Up, Left, Down, Right, Square, Up, Right, Down, Left while holding L1, L2, R1, R2, and your item capacity will have no limit. While the game is paused, hold down L1" and "R1 and input the cheat Right, Right, Left, Left to increase your score by 100.
