Things You'll Need
Instructions
Insert the Dazzle DVD Recorder installation CD ROM into your computer's disc drive. Install the drivers and software from the CD. Be sure to install the version that is compatible with your operating system, as there are several different versions on the disc.
Connect the Dazzle DVD Recorder to a USB port on your computer. Look to see if everything installed correctly, and make sure your computer and the installed software recognize the Dazzle when you plug it in. If an error occurred, unplug the device and uninstall all of its software. Check Pinnacle System's website for updated versions of the drivers and software and download them.
Plug an AV splitter into your television's Audio/Video input. This will allow both the Dazzle and the Play Station 2 to use the TV at the same time. Plug the Play Station 2's AV cables into one side of the splitter, and a double-ended AV jack into the other. Connect the other end of the AV jack into the ports on the Dazzle. Plug the Play Station's power adapter into an outlet.
Turn on the TV and power the console on. Your game should appear on the TV screen. Open the video capture software on your computer that you installed from the Dazzle's CD-ROM. Check the preview window to make sure the game is displaying properly. If all you see is a black screen or static, this indicates a connection issue so double-check all the plugs.
Select a file format and a folder to save your videos. Make sure the file type is compatible with your computer's media player, so that you will be able to play back the video after you record it.
