How Do I Get the Voice to Work on My PS2 Headset?

Communicating with other players is a key component to creating strategies and having success in any online game. Using a headset has become the most common, and often most effective, method is communicating in-game, as a majority of console owners do not own a keyboard for their console. PlayStation 2 headsets are manufactured by Sony and third-party manufacturers and connect to the console via its USB ports. The microphones on the Sony manufactured headsets do not feature a mute button, unlike the Xbox headsets.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach the headset via its USB cord to the USB port on the front of the console.

    • 2

Turn on the console and enter a multi-player game that has voice support. "Voice Support" will be displayed on the back of compatible games.

    • 3

Talk into the microphone to communicate with the other players. Anything you say while wearing the headset will be transmitted to the other players, as there is no mute button.
