How to Find the Dragonballs in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi

While fighting in the different arenas in "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi," you destroy certain aspects of the arena, such as buildings and large rocks. These destroyable pieces of scenery often reward you with special items but sometimes you receive a coveted Dragon Ball. Collecting the seven Dragon Balls, which are numbered with stars, grants you the ability to make a wish from Shenron, the legendary Dragon. Players get multiples of the same Dragon Ball because the items are randomized, but continuously collecting allows you to complete the set.

Instructions

- 1
  Play the game in "Z Battle Gate," the game's equivalent to Story Mode. Play through the "Saiyan Saga." This takes you through the first story arc of "Dragon Ball Z." Complete the various scenarios in the game until you get to the battle between Piccolo and Raditz.

  Grapple with Raditz during the fight and throw him into the rocks in the battle arena. Examine the rubble to find a Dragon Ball. Finish the fight to keep the Dragon Ball.

  Continue playing through the "Saiyan Saga" until you get to the two fights between Krilin and Yamcha. You take control of one character in the first fight, then switch controls for the second fight. Destroy the main building near the center of the battle arena to reveal a Dragon Ball in each fight. Subsequently, the two battles that take place in the same arena between Tien and Chiaotzu will each elicit a Dragon Ball.

  Play through the "Frieza Saga" until you get to the battle between Recoome and Goku. Grapple with Recoome and hurl him through the rocks on his side of the arena, then drop down into the water to find a Dragon Ball. In the same arena, during the battle between Saibamen and Frieza, there is another Dragon Ball in the same location.

  Play until you reach the battle between Goten and Gohan during the "Majin Buu Saga." Smash the small rock in this arena to reveal a Dragon Ball.

  Search the arena for a body of water with rocks in it during the battle between Vegeta and Zarbon in "The Revenge Of The Saiyans" storyline. Smash the rocks to reveal a Dragon Ball.

  Find the large rocks in the water during the battle between Frieza and Goku and the battle between Frieza and Krillin during the "Cosmic Emperor" storyline. Smash them to reveal a Dragon Ball in each battle.

  Throw your opponent through the mountain to the north during the battle between Majin Buu and Vegeta. This battle takes place during the "Destructive Majin" storyline.
- 9
  Explore the water during the battle between Bojack and Ultimate Gohan during the "Plan to Conquer Earth" storyline. Look for the large rock pillars and destroy them to reveal a Dragon Ball.
