How to Do a Brutality in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks for PS2

"Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks" for the PlayStation 2 game console is a spin-off from the fighting game series released in 2005. Instead of one-on-one combat, players can team up to explore the realms and defeat the main antagonist, Shang Tsung. In addition to the "Fatalities" in which characters can kill their foes in gory fashion, the game also feature "Brutalities." Unlike the fatalities which target a single enemy, the brutality move allow players to enter a rage mode and decimate groups of enemies within a short time limit.

Instructions

    • 1

Play the game until you reach the level "Reptile's Lair." You will reach this level by playing through the game's story mode.

    • 2

Defeat the enemies that attack you, and a red token will appear. Walk over the token to pick it up, and you will acquire the ability to perform the Brutality move.

    • 3

Fight against enemies using combo attacks to fill up your Fatality meter in the top-left corner of the screen. After it is filled, you will be able to perform a Fatality, but keep fighting and it will enter another level of charge. Once it has been filled up three times without use, you are able to do a Brutality which will instantly drain the meter.

    • 4

Press the "L1" button to initiate the Brutality input. The words "Finish Him" will appear. While playing as Kung Lao, press "Left," "Left," "Up," "Up" and "Circle" to do the Brutality. The input for Lui Kang is "Right," "Up," "Down," "Down" and "Circle." The screen will darken and the words "Brutality" will appear to indicate you have done it correctly.
