Cheats for Maximum Respect on GTA: San Andreas

Released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2 game console, "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" is a sequel to both "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" and "Grand Theft Auto 3." Set in the early 1990s, the game allows players to gain respect points by completing missions, as well as defending gang turf. While this can be a long endeavor, there are several cheats that can get you to maximum respect in less time.

Maximum Respect
- The easiest way to earn maximum respect is with one single cheat. Enter the game at any point in the main story and press the following buttons one at a time in this order: "L1," "R1," "Triangle," "Down," "R2," "X," "L1," "Up," "L2," "L2," "L1," "L1." You will now have the maximum level of respect attainable regardless of what your previous level was. Additionally, none of your actions that would normally gain you respect will have any effect from now on.
Weapons
- If simply entering a code seems too easy, there are several other cheats that can make the normal ways of gaining maximum respect less difficult and more fun. One way to gain significant respect is to take down rival gangs. Since it will usually be you against many enemies, it helps to have a fully loaded arsenal. To instantly receive the bat, shotgun, pistol, mini SMG, AK-47, rocket launcher, molotov cocktail, spray can and brass knuckles, enter: "R1," "R2," "L1," "R2," "Left," "Down," "Right," "Up," "Left," "Down," "Right," "Up."
Health
- Another way to gain respect is to simply complete main story missions. While the challenges of each mission vary significantly between driving, shooting, flying and sabotaging, a common thread is the need to keep health and armor levels as high as possible so you're not killed and forced to start over. To instantly obtain full health and body armor enter: "R1," "R2," "L1," "X," "Left," "Down," "Right," "Up," "Left," "Down," "Right," "Up." The use of this cheat will also reward you with $250,000.
Vehicles
- Having a fast vehicle with both high armor and decent handling is essential completing most missions, as well as any gang battle scenario. To give any car you're driving perfect handling, enter "Triangle," "R1," "R1," "left," "R1," "L1," "R2," "L1." To make a Hydra sports car spawn right in front of you, enter "Triangle," "Triangle," "Square," "Circle," "X," "L1," "L1," "Down," "Up." To obtain the most powerful vehicle in the game, the Rhino tank, enter: "Circle," "Circle," "L1," "Circle," "Circle," "Circle," "L1," "L2," "R1," "Triangle," "Circle," "Triangle."
