How to Get the Zodiac Spear in Final Fantasy XII

The Zodiac Spear has an attack power rating of 150 and is the strongest weapon in Final Fantasy XII. It is also one of the easiest weapons to miss. You must refrain from opening a few special treasure chests in order to unlock the Zodiac Spear. It is impossible to get the Zodiac Spear in your game account if you accidentally opened any of these chests.

Instructions

  Do not open the treasure chest in Lowtown immediately outside of Old Dylan's place, the two chests in the southeast corner of the cellar in the Royal Palace of Rabanastre, any of the chests in the Confiscatory in the Nalbina Dungeons or any of the treasure chests (16 in all) at the end of the Vaddu Strand on the Phon Coast.

  Restart the game if you have already opened any of these treasure chests.

  Visit the Necrohol of Nabudis. There is a chamber holding 16 treasure chests directly north of where you fight the summon monster "Chaos." The Zodiac Spear is inside one of these chests if you did not open any of the forbidden treasure chests earlier in the game.
