How to Connect a PS2 to a Vizio LCD TV

Sony PlayStation 2, popularly known simply as PS2, is a gaming console that allows you to play video games and watch standard DVDs. It is compatible with Vizio televisions, both plasma and LCD. Before you can play your favorite games or watch DVDs, you must connect your gaming console to your TV. This process is simple and takes minutes to complete.

  Locate your AV cable. One end includes the yellow video output as well as the red and white audio inputs. The other end is the connector that attaches to your PS2.
  
  Plug the connector on the the AV cable into the socket at the back of your PS2 labeled "AV Multi Out."

  Locate the yellow, red and white AV inputs on the back of your Vizio TV.

  Plug the color-coded plugs on the AV cable to the corresponding jacks on the back of your Vizio TV. The yellow socket should go into the yellow input on your TV. The red and white audio jacks should go into the red and white audio inputs on your TV.

  Turn on your TV, and then connect your gaming console to AC power. Press the "Power/Reset" button to turn on your PS2.

  Press the "Open" button, insert your gaming disc or DVD and press the "Open" button again to close the disc tray.

  Press the "Input" button on your Vizio TV or remote control and select the appropriate video input mode (AV channel) to view your game's home screen.
