Equip your team with the best weapons, accessories and abilities in preparation for the fight. Demyx uses water-based magic, so equip armor and accessories that have water resistance. Sora should have defensive abilities that let him quickly get out of harm's way, such as Roll and Air Recovery. Stock Donald and Goofy's inventories with healing items like Hi-Potions and equip Donald's healing ability Donald Cure. Set Donald and Goofy to use heal frequently.
Attack the water creatures that Demyx summons at the start of the battle. Use the action command "Wild Dance" by pressing the corresponding button when prompted on screen. This will allow you to take out the water creatures quickly as you have a short time limit to do so or you will fail the mission.
Dodge Demyx's attacks and keep at a distance while waiting for the best moments to strike. When Demyx summons additional water creatures you have the opportunity to get Demyx caught in the Wild Dance action command, which stuns him temporarily.
Attack relentlessly when you have an opening to try and bring down his health as much as possible. Using abilities like your various air combos allow you to juggle Demyx in the air, giving him little time to counterattack.
Shift your focus to the water creatures immediately whenever you hear Demyx say the phrase "Dance, water, dance." If you do not defeat them within the 10 second time period, you will automatically lose. Use the Wild Dance action command again. After Demyx performs this attack he will be temporarily vulnerable, so use the opportunity to attack him.
Transform into Wisdom Form whenever you have a high enough Drive Gauge. Wisdom Form allows you to attack at a distance, thus dodging Demyx's attacks, and will increase your strength and defense.
Repeat these strategies until Demyx has been defeated.
