The Sony PlayStation 2, released in October 2000, is the successor to the original Sony PlayStation console, and boasts improved graphical capabilities and better processing power. The system is also backward compatible, allowing users to play old PlayStation games on their console. Despite this feature. there are still a few PlayStation games that are not compatible with the PlayStation 2.
