How to Speed Up Attack Gauge in Final Fantasy XII

In Square Enix's "Final Fantasy XII" battles are governed by the Active Dimensions Battle system. In the ADB system, characters must wait until their Action Bars are filled, similar to the ATB (Active Time Battle) system of previous games. The Action Bar fills at a steady rate but can be affected by status effects. Slow, a negative effect, causes this bar to fill slowly, while the positive status, Haste, causes it to refill it quicker.

Instructions

    • 1

Use the License Board to purchase a level 5 Time Magick License for your Time Mage. (Haste cannot be used without a level 5 Time Magick License.) The cost of this License is 40 License Points.

    • 2

Check the shop in Eruyt Village after traversing the Henne Mines. This is the earliest point in the game that the spell can be purchased. The spell can be purchased for 3,400 Gil. Haste can also be purchased from the Seeq merchant in Mt. Bur-Omisace.

    • 3

Purchase the level 7 Time Magick License for 110 LP.

    • 4

Travel to South Bank Village after defeating Pharos. At the south end of the village the Unlucky Merchant will sell you Hastega for 16,600 Gil. Hastega is an enhanced version of Haste which casts on every member of your team in a single cast.
