How to Troubleshoot LEGO Batman for PS2

"LEGO Batman" takes all of your favorite Batman characters from the movies and comic books and brings them to the small screen. In the video game, which is made for most gaming platforms, including the Sony PlayStation 2, you can play as both the villains and as Batman and his many supporters. If you run into problems during game play, it is not an issue with the actual game itself, but with the disc or the PS2.

  Restart the PS2. It is possible the system didn't boot correctly or read the "LEGO Batman" game wrong when it was initially inserted into the CD/DVD drive. Restarting the system usually corrects these game play issues.

  Eject the video game, and then wipe the bottom of the disc with a soft cloth. This removes any dust or fingerprints located on the disc. Dust and other debris stuck to the disc causes the game to freeze while playing.

  Spray a few shots of compressed air into the open drive of the PS2. This removes dust that has collected on the video game system's disc lens. The lens must be clean to read the disc, otherwise the game is going to skip or you will receive a disc read error.

  Shut down the PS2 and allow it to cool. The platform can overheat and malfunction if you play the game for several hours. Giving the system time to cool down corrects this problem.
