How to Dowload Games to Your PS2

Many next generation video game consoles allow you to save game data, music, movies and even entire games to their hard drives. The Sony PlayStation 2 is a console that uses a hard drive much like a computer, and with a PS2 program you can download all of your PS2 games to the PS2's hard drive. This allows the games to be played directly from the memory of the PS2 without having to insert a game disk.

HD Loader installation disk
Sony PlayStation 2 game

Instructions

  Push the "Eject" button on the front of the Sony PlayStation 2 and the disk tray will open. Remove any disk that may be inside.

  Place the HD Loader application disk into the PlayStation 2 disk drive and close the disk drive. The HD Loader software will start to run and the HD Loader menu will appear on the screen.

  Select the "Install" option on the HD Loader menu. The disk drive will open again. Remove the HD Loader disk and insert the game disk you want to download to the PS2 hard drive and close it. The game will automatically be downloaded off the disk onto the PS2 hard drive.

  Select the "Play" option from the HD Loader main menu and your downloaded games will appear. Select the game you want to play from the list to start it on the PS2.
