How to Beat Scorpion in Spiderman 3 for the PS2

The second mission in Activision's "Spider-Man 3" game pits you in a brutal battle against one of Spider-Man's oldest foes: The Scorpion. According to the storyline of the game, Scorpion is not in control of his own actions and is instead being manipulated by a shadowy government agency. Defeating Scorpion is relatively straightforward but will require some skillful jumping and a little luck.

Instructions

- 1
  Punch and kick Scorpion with your regular melee attacks. He will move from the ground to the cables above once his health hits a certain point.

  Dodge Scorpion's blasts and wait until he hops on the cable nearest you. Double-jump and press your attack buttons -- if Scorpion is within range, you'll automatically dash to him and deliver a few blows, hopefully causing him to fall.

  Repeat your attacks in the cables until Scorpion's health drops to near zero. At this point, the final sequence of the battle will begin.

  Follow the prompt over Scorpion's head to grab him. Use your dodge ability to slow time. Follow the on-screen prompts to aim Scorpion's tail at a nearby generator. Shoot every generator to proceed to the next phase of the fight.
- 5
  Follow the on-screen prompts to climb to the top of the bridge. Once there, you can destroy the Scorpion's mind control unit and end the fight.
