How to Use Critical Mass With Godzilla: Unleashed on PS2

"Godzilla Unleashed," for the PlayStation 2 lets you pit the world's most famous over-sized monsters against one another as they battle for supremacy across cities like Tokyo and San Francisco. In the game, it's possible to enter Critical Mass mode, where your monster's attack power and knock-back capabilities are increased and defense is decreased. Entering the mode is achieved by destroying as many crystals as possible. Mastering Critical Mass mode is vital to planning your strategy and defeating your foes.

Instructions

  Start the "Godzilla Unleashed" game, and select your desired character and stage. All characters are able to use Critical Mass mode.

  Destroy crystals to fill your Critical Mass meter by attacking them with the "X," "Square" and "Circle" buttons. Destroying all kinds of crystals fills the meter. When the meter is full, the monster enters Critical Mass mode automatically.

  Take advantage of your extra attack power and knock-back ability to damage your foe as much as possible. Guard well with the "Triangle" button, though, since your defense drops during this time.

  Wait for Critical Mass mode to end on its own. The mode ends when your meter depletes fully, or if your foe freezes you. If the meter depletes, you lose one health cell.

  Continue destroying crystals that appear to re-enter Critical Mass mode again. You can enter the mode as many times as you want per level.
