Import Music Stored on a Flash Drive to PS3
Plug the flash into an unused USB port on the PS3.
Use the arrow buttons on the PS3 controller to navigate to the ̶0;Music̶1; icon in the PS3 cross media bar. Scroll down the Music menu and highlight ̶0;USB Device.̶1; Press the ̶0;X̶1; button to select the highlighted item.
Scroll through the list of music files saved on the USB device. When you come to a song you would like to add to your playlist, press the Triangle button on the controller and then select ̶0;Copy.̶1; The music file is copied to your PS3 hard drive.
Create Playlist
Use the arrow buttons on the PS3 controller to navigate to the ̶0;Music̶1; icon in the PS3 cross media bar. Scroll down the Music menu, highlight ̶0;Playlist.̶1; Press the ̶0;X̶1; button to select the highlighted item. Select ̶0;Create New Playlist̶1; from the Playlist submenu.
Highlight the name box at the next prompt and press ̶0;X̶1; to bring up the on-screen keyboard. Enter a name for the playlist you are creating. Press the Circle button to exit the on-screen keyboard.
Highlight ̶0;OK̶1; at the next prompt. Press ̶0;X.̶1; A new playlist folder is created. Scroll down to the playlist folder you just created. Press the triangle button on the controller to display your playlist options. Highlight and select ̶0;Edit̶1; from the list of options.
Scroll through the list of music saved on your PS3. When you come to a song you would like to add to your playlist, press the ̶0;X̶1; button to select it.
Press the Circle button when you have finished editing your playlist. Highlight and select ̶0;Yes̶1; to exit. Your complete playlist is now created.
