How to Get Realistic Damage in GT5

When "Gran Turismo 5" first came out, some users complained that the vehicle damage was not realistic enough and there was not an option to change how the game handled damage. Eventually, the developer patched the game and made it possible for users to change the damage settings to something more realistic. The changes only affect damage in online lounge races, however, and not the core game.

     Click "Options" in the game's Main menu.

     Click "Damage Settings."

   • 3

     Click "Heavy" for the most realistic damage. This makes damage to the cars fixable only during a pit stop. Other options automatically fix damage after a period of time.
