How to Delete Corrupted Data on the PS3

Removing corrupted data on the Sony PlayStation 3 is a quick and easy process if you know where to look on the PS3 menu. Corrupted data can occur for many different reasons, including using improper update procedure, removing game disks during saves and powering down the console during saves.

      Go to the "Game" section of the PS3 menu and you will see "Game Data Utility" and "Save Date Utility."

      Select the "Save Data Utility" and select the save file that is corrupted.

      Press the "Triangle" button on the PS3 controller to bring up the context menu.

      Select "Delete" to remove the corrupt data from the Sony PS3.
