How to Get Hand Objects on LittleBigPlanet for PS3

As you play "LittleBigPlanet," you earn new items that can be used to customize the look of your Sackboy character. One type of item that can be found or purchased from the PlayStation Store is a hand object item that your character carries in his hand. Hand object items have no effect on the gameplay and neither help nor hinder your character, but they do add an extra dimension to the look of your Sackboy. After finding one of these items or purchasing a costume that contains one, you must apply it to your character to make the item appear in his hand.

  Find an object you can place in your Sackboy's hand while playing through the main story or purchase a costume that comes with a hand object from the PlayStation Store. These items are scattered throughout the game's 51 story mode levels and can be obtained by popping the item's bubble, acing a level by collecting all of its items or by completing a level. Examples of hand objects include a frying pan, a pirate's hook and a wooden sword.

  Press the "Square" button to bring up the Popit menu. Highlight "Customize Character" and press "X."

  Press "R1" twice to select the "Body" section of the Character Customization menu.

  Scroll down to the "Hands" section of the Body Customization menu.

  Highlight the hand object you want to appear in your Sackboy's hand and press the "X" button to select it. The hand object is enabled and your Sackboy will be seen carrying the selected hand object around.
