How to Make the Jaws Game Work on My PS3

Originally released on the Sony PlayStation 2, "Jaws Unleashed" requires you to assume the role of the titular shark character as it attempts to escape from the CEO of Environplus trying to capture it. Depending on the kind of PlayStation 3 console you have, you may be able to play the game on the console. Not all consoles are backwards-compatible with PlayStation 2 games, however.

  Verify that your PlayStation 3 console can play PlayStation 2 games. All versions of the 20 GB and 60 GB models support backwards-compatibility, and 80 GB consoles with the model number "CECHE01" on the back barcode can as well. The system settings tells you the size of your hard drive if you do not know.

  Insert the "Jaws Unleashed" disk into the disk slot of the PlayStation 3, located on the front of the console.

  Select "PlayStation 2 Format Disc" under the "Game" menu to load your game. When you load a PlayStation 2 game, the controller turns off.

  Press the "PS" button on your controller to turn it back on.
