Connect the USB drive to one of the USB ports on your computer. Click the "Start" button in the computer's task bar and select the "Computer" option. Double-click on the USB drive's removable storage icon to view its contents.
Right-click and select the "New Folder" icon to create a new folder inside the USB drive. Name the new folder "PS3."
Double-click the new "PS3" folder, right-click and select the "New Folder" option to create another new folder inside. Name this folder "THEME."
Drag the theme you created into the THEME folder you created in Step 3. Right-click on the USB drive's removable storage device icon and select the "Eject" option from the context menu that appears. Disconnect the USB drive from the computer.
Plug the USB drive into one of the USB ports on the PS3 system. Scroll over to the "Settings" section of the XrossMediaBar, scroll down to the "Theme Settings" option and press the "X" button.
Select the "Theme" option, followed by the "Install" option. Select the USB drive you connected to your PS3 system.
Highlight the theme you added to the USB drive and press the "X" button to install the theme onto the PS3 system.
