How Do You Unlock Hagrid to Play in the Lego Harry Potter Game for the PS3?

There are dozens of hidden characters in the game ̶0;LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4,̶1; including Harry̵7;s trusty half-giant friend, Hagrid. Unlike many of the other characters, Hagrid cannot be unlocked through regular play and will not automatically become available after completing a specific in-game chapter or level. In order to unlock Hagrid for free play events, you must complete two separate but related tasks. Once unlocked, you can use Hagrid at any time in free play levels.

Instructions

     Play through ̶0;Year 1̶1; of the game, until you reach the Forbidden Forest, or chapter five.

     Run through the Forbidden Forest level, until you reach a tree blocked by boulders.

   • 3

     Clear the boulders with a bit of magic, and pass through the tree.

   • 4

     Open the chest you see immediately after exiting the tree, to find Hagrid̵7;s character token.

   • 5

     Exit the level, and visit Madam Malkin̵7;s in Diagon Alley.

   • 6

     Purchase Hagrid from Madam Malkin with your LEGO studs.
