How to Get Rocketfish USB Headsets to Work on a PS3

PlayStation 3 consoles feature USB capabilities, so any USB-powered headset is compatible with your Sony gaming system. Rocketfish manufactures many different gaming accessories, including USB headsets. The setup process for these headsets is simple and is a one-time task. After the initial setup, you can detach and re-attach your headset without walking through the setup process again. Once connected, you can chat with other players and friends while playing your favorite games online.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach the USB end of your Rocketfish headset to one of the USB connections on the front panel of the console and turn on your PS3.

    • 2

Use your controller to scroll to and highlight the ̶0;Settings̶1; menu.

    • 3

Arrow down to the ̶0;Accessory Settings̶1; sub-menu and press ̶0;X̶1; to launch a new set of options.

    • 4

Choose the ̶0;Audio Device Settings̶1; menu and hit ̶0;X.̶1; Your headset name will appear on this next screen, along with volume control settings.

    • 5

Adjust the volume control to your desired loudness. The levels are set at ̶0;3̶1; by default. Your microphone may be too loud for other players if you raise the level higher than the default setting.

    • 6

Highlight ̶0;Okay̶1; and hit ̶0;X̶1; to save your settings.

    • 7

Hit ̶0;Circle̶1; to exit the setup menu and return to the main menu. Your headset is now connected to your PlayStation 3 and will function once you enter a game.
