How to Make a Blu-Ray Disc Work on a PS3

The PlayStation 3 gaming console comes with a built-in Blu-ray drive that allows you to play Blu-ray movies and games. After inserting a Blu-ray disc, you can immediately begin playing it from your PlayStation 3̵7;s XrossMediaBar. However, certain Blu-ray movies and games may not work due to region protection.

      Insert the Blu-ray disc into your PlayStation 3̵7;s disc drive.

      Use the controller's directional buttons to scroll to the ̶0;Games̶1; section on the XrossMediaBar. If you are playing a Blu-ray video, scroll to the ̶0;Video̶1; section instead.

      Scroll down to the name of the game or movie and press the ̶0;X̶1; button to play it. To stop playback, press the "Circle" button.
