Using a Wireless Connection
Turn on the PS3, and then turn on your controller.
Navigate to ̶0;Settings̶1; on the main menu, and then select the ̶0;Network Settings̶1; option by pressing the ̶0;X̶1; button on your controller.
Scroll to the ̶0;Internet Connection Settings̶1; option and press ̶0;X.̶1; The ̶0;Adjust settings for connection to the Internet̶1; message will appear on the screen. Select ̶0;OK.̶1;
Highlight the ̶0;Easy̶1; option on the ̶0;Internet Connection Settings̶1; menu, and then press the right arrow button on the controller̵7;s D-pad. You will be asked to select an Internet connection method.
Select the ̶0;Wireless̶1; method and press ̶0;X.̶1;
Highlight the ̶0;Scan̶1; option on the ̶0;WLAN Settings̶1; menu and press ̶0;X.̶1; A list of network access points will appear on the screen.
Select the name of your wireless network and press ̶0;X.̶1; Your wireless network will appear on the ̶0;SSID̶1; menu screen. Press the right arrow button on your controller̵7;s D-pad, and then select your WLAN security setting.
Enter your wireless network password, and then press the right arrow button on the controller̵7;s D-pad. When the configuration process is complete, the ̶0;Settings List̶1; menu will appear and the ̶0;Internet Connection̶1; setting will be listed as ̶0;Enabled.̶1; Press ̶0;X̶1; to save the new Internet connection settings.
Using a Wired Connection
Connect your Xfinity cable modem to your PS3 by using an Ethernet cable.
Turn on your PS3.
Scroll to the ̶0;Settings̶1; menu, highlight the ̶0;Network Settings̶1; option and press ̶0;X.̶1;
Select ̶0;Internet Connection Settings,̶1; and then select ̶0;OK.̶1;
Highlight the ̶0;Easy̶1; option and press the right arrow button on your controller̵7;s D-pad. The PS3 will configure your wired connection settings automatically.
Press ̶0;X̶1; to save your new connection settings.
