How to Edit PS3 Fallout New Vegas Game Saves

Fallout: New Vegas was developed by Bethesda Studios and released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game consoles, as well as for the PC. On the PS3, managing and editing save files for the game can be done by using the Saved Data Utility on the PS3 menu screen. Games can either be copied and transferred to other memory devices or deleted completely from the PS3 hard drive. This allows you to create backups of the save file or save space on the hard drive to add other game save files.

  Turn on the PlayStation 3 and scroll to the Game menu on the main menu.

  Scroll down to Saved Data Utility and press the left directional button or press left with the joystick to scroll through the saved games. Scroll to Fallout: New Vegas and press the "Triangle" button.

  Highlight Copy to make a duplicate of the save file on the PS3 hard drive or to copy it to another device, such as a memory stick or external hard drive. A device must be connected to a USB port on the PS3 via a USB cable. It can then be selected after pressing the "X" button to copy the file.

  Highlight Delete and press the "X" button to permanently delete the file from the PS3 hard drive.
