How to Make Cricket Wireless Broadband Work With a PlayStation 3

A PlayStation 3, with wireless LAN capability, is capable of connecting to any available wireless networks, regardless of the service provider. Connect a PS3 to a connection powered by Cricket's wireless broadband service in the same manner that you would any other Wi-Fi connection. Connecting the PS3 to Wi-Fi will give you access to the online PlayStation Network, as well as let you play a variety of compatible games online with other users in different areas.

  Check to make sure that your Cricket wireless broadband setup is running correctly and that you have a connection.

  Unplug the Ethernet cable from your PS3, if it was previously connected.

  Turn on the PS3 and use the controller to navigate to the "Settings" menu.

  Select "Network Settings." Choose "OK" to confirm that the PS3 will currently be disconnected from the Internet.

  Select "Easy" and "Wireless" from the options that appear on screen.

  Choose "Scan" to allow the PS3 to search for all available wireless connections in range.

  Select the connection from the list that corresponds to the Cricket wireless broadband setup.

  Choose the security type associated with the connection from the list, if the connection is password protected.

  Enter the "key" or password, if applicable, when prompted.

  Choose "Save" and to "Test the Connection" to attempt to connect to the Cricket wireless broadband setup. You will be notified if the connection succeeded or failed.

  Use the connection to connect to the PlayStation Network or play a game online.
