Things You'll Need
Instructions
Connect one end of the USB cable to your Dual-Shock 3 and the other end to one of your console's USB ports.
Turn on your console. Press the "Help" button on your controller until the console recognizes it. If your controller and console are working properly, this should take only a few seconds. The lights at the top of the controller will flash during the recognition process and stop flashing once the controller has been recognized.
Disconnect both ends of the USB cable if you wish to take advantage of the Dual-Shock 3's wireless functionality. If your controller is running low on power, leave it plugged into the console until it is fully charged.
