How to Get a Cell Phone in GTA IV for the PS3

The cell phone is one of the most important items in "Grand Theft Auto IV." In addition to being able to call characters you meet in the game, the cell phone is used to initiate a multiplayer session and configure game options. Like an actual cell phone, "GTA IV" lets you customize your phone's ringtone. You do not start the game with a cell phone, but you do receive one for free at the start of the first mission -- It's Your Call.

Instructions

  Insert "GTA IV" into the PS3 and wait for the game to start. Watch the opening video sequence or press "X" to skip it.

  Drive Roman to his apartment by following the yellow line on the mini map on the bottom right side of the screen. After dropping Roman off, follow the yellow line to your safe house. Approach the bed in the room to the right of the kitchen and press the "X" button to save the game and sleep. When you wake up, you receive a text from Roman.

  Follow the yellow line to the "R" on the mini map. Watch the video sequence or press "X" to skip it. Drive Roman to the destination marked on the mini map. After dropping him off, he gives you a cell phone.
