Timing of Throw
As you play "Brunswick Pro Bowling" you will notice that the game provides onscreen directions for how to throw the ball. First, you must position your shot and hold the T button on your wand. While holding T, you must swing your arm in a bowling motion and let go of the T button at the same time you would let go of a real bowling ball. You will not achieve a fast throw if you let go of the T button prematurely or too late. The closer you make your swing to real-life bowling, the faster your ball can go.
Force of Swing
The PlayStation Move hardware is able to detect how fast you swing your wand. As a result, faster swings on your part translate into faster swings in the game. Note that this must be coupled with a properly executed swing (described in Section 1) to be most effective. It is useful to have enough space in front of your television so you can swing your entire arm to generate speed. Quick jerks do not make for effective swings and will result in a slow ball.
Curve Less
The PlayStation Move can also detect curves in your throw. That is, if you twist your wrist while swinging, your bowling ball will curve in the same direction you twisted your wrist. It is still possible to throw the ball fast with a curve on it; however, it will not be as fast as if you threw the ball in a straight line. The trick is to hold the wand with the buttons facing upward and swing without twisting the wand in any direction.
Other Tips
Always set your in-game bowler to use the same arm as you use to hold the wand. You can change which arm your in-game bowler uses from the options menu. It is very difficult to throw the ball fast if you use the opposite arm, as the PlayStation Move software will not register your movements correctly. Additionally, make sure to position the PlayStation Move camera at the base (toward the center) of your television. The PlayStation Move may incorrectly register your movements if it is placed elsewhere.
