How to Change Audio Setting on PS3 for Home Theater

The Sony PlayStation 3 console and most PS3 video games support 5.1 channel surround sound output. If you have a home theater system with surround sound speakers, connect your PS3 to the audio receiver using an HDMI or optical audio cable. After connecting the PS3 to the home theater system, change the audio settings on your PS3 so the console knows to output a 5.1 channel signal.
